Music Ministry
Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir is composed of adults of all ages and meets every week from early September-May. We prepare music for the traditional “classic” worship service on Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. and for special services throughout the church year.
We view our work as a music ministry and hope that our efforts lead the participants in worship to a closer relationship with God. It is also a time of fellowship focused on deepening our own faith.
Singing abilities vary, but the commitment to Christ and singing His praises is consistent. All are welcome!

Handbell Choir
Weekly on Wednesdays
6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
VSUMC Choir Room
The Handbell Choir prepares and presents special music in the traditional “classic” worship service once a month or so, from September – May. This group of dedicated ringers is always open to new folks who love music and the distinctive sound of handbells. Substitutes are often needed, so even if you couldn’t commit as a regular ringer, there would still be a way to participate.
Men and women are welcome to this group, from high school up in age.
