Music Ministry

Chancel Choir

Due to Covid -19 we are not meeting at this time.

The Chancel Choir is composed of adults of all ages and meets every week from early September-May. We prepare music for the traditional “classic” worship service on Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. and for special services throughout the church year.

We view our work as a music ministry and hope that our efforts lead the participants in worship to a closer relationship with God. It is also a time of fellowship focused on deepening our own faith.

Singing abilities vary, but the commitment to Christ and singing His praises is consistent. All are welcome!

The Vermont Street Connection Praise Team leads during the contemporary “connection” worship service on Sunday mornings at 11 a.m.

This music ministry welcomes dedicated instrumental musicians, especially piano/keyboard and guitar; as well as singers – male and female, from high school and up.

The joy that comes from helping the congregation reach new heights of praise and worship of Christ is its’ greatest reward.

The Handbell Choir prepares and presents special music in the traditional “classic” worship service once a month or so, from September – May. This group of dedicated ringers is always open to new folks who love music and the distinctive sound of handbells. Substitutes are often needed, so even if you couldn’t commit as a regular ringer, there would still be a way to participate.

Men and women are welcome to this group, from high school up in age.

You can feel the excitement when His Connection is rehearsing! This group is for kids in grades 3-6. His Connection prepares and presents special music monthly at both the traditional “classic” worship service and the contemporary “connection” worship service, from September - May.

Songs will be fun, engaging, and will challenge kids a bit, and there will also be opportunities for some theatric presentation, as well.

Boys and girls are encouraged to participate in this choir, to grow in their music skills, as well as discovering more about offering praise and worship for Christ as an offering of love.
